FOR PEOPLE BY PEOPLE
On Dutch television an episode of "Undercover boss" was shown. This episode the CEO of Best Western England worked in 5 Best Western hotels trough out England.
He worked among others as a maintenance man, a gardener and a housekeeper. All jobs in a hotel where you work behind 'the scenes" They do not interact directly with the guest, but their jobs are very important for the experience a guest has in the hotel. We all want our rooms to be clean and in perfect state and the eye wants something to look at as we stand outside the hotel to smoke a cigarette.
In the beginning his thoughts were that the brand Best Western was the centre of the hotels, but after these view jobs he realised that it is not the brand itself that makes the hotel a good hotel (Best Western of course stands for a certain standard of quality, it's the people working there that make a stay in a hotel a great experience. Staff with hart for their work and for the hotel pass on a feeling to the guest, he will feel welcome. And isn't that what hospitality is all about? Feeling welcome.
That is what makes you come back to a certain hotel. At the Best Western Blue Square Hotel this is what we aim for. We try to make your stay an unforgettable one, by being as helpful and enthusiastic as we can. We might not always succeed in this goal and please every single guest, but with you feedback we can improve ourselves and the hotel. Feedback is important….people helping people…both ways.

After winning the title of Best environmental entrepreneur of New West Amsterdam, we can now also call ourselves officially a Green Key Hotel.
